7-24-10 - Bryce arrived at his foster home today. This gorgeous boy is your typical lovable Boxer. Everyone that has met Bryce so far has fallen in love! Bryce came into rescue as his owner lost their home. Bryce is approximately 4 years old and will need a strong leader to work with him. Bryce is not house broken, but his foster family will be working with him on this training and we are confident this can be resolved quickly. He seems to know his sit and down command, but could use some brush up work on these commands as well as the stay command. Bryce’s previous owner was unable to spend time with him, so he has not been walked or exercised and has a lot of pent up energy. Because of the training and Bryce’s energy level, we do not want to place him with small children. We do not know how he is with other dogs or cats at this time, his foster family will be evaluating this. Bryce is used to being in a crate. We are looking for a forever home that has a fenced in yard or with a family that can dedicate a lot of time to walking and exercising this beautiful boy. Check back soon for more updates as we get to know this handsome boy a little better in his foster home.

8-9-10 - Bryce has settled in well to our routine in his second week. He is a great big lovable boxer:) He loves toys and he will take every single one out of the toy box to play, but he is gentle with them and not destructive. Fetch is his favorite outdoor game including mastering the "drop-it" command. He is learning to walk well on a leash but he does get excited when he meets new dogs. He just wants to play but he is a big dog to hold back:) He loves kids and he is very gentle with them. His crate has become his sanctuary, he will often go in there and chill with a toy and when Delilah, his foster sister decides to join him he will move over to make room to spoon with her:) He is a great dog that would love a family with kids and a dog.
