King's Sponors
-Elisa Alexander
We have now had Kona aka King for one month, he has brought love and joy to our family. It feels like we have had him for years, he
is familiar and happy with his schedule. He will not let us pass Dresser Hill with out stopping for an ice cream cone, it works well
for socializing him as well as positive side of meeting new people. He guards the house very well and although rarely left alone,
when he is, is a perfect angel never disrupting anything. He is still a little weary of strangers and although is not aggressive he
does still lean into one of us for protection but he has come along way and is less nervous than he once was. Kona loves his three-four
walks a day, when we even get near the leash he does the Boxer dance, twirling, wiggling the butt, and jumping in circles. We should
probably train him not to do this but honestly its so funny and cute we just sing now which gets him even more excited. He has learned
he is not the pack leader, he seems to be quite happy with being a follower, he is a dream on a leash although we still do use a training
collar since he is so strong we must maintain control in any situation. He is so relaxed around the house and has turned into a snuggle
bug and is very lazy when not on a walk or hike. We take him to Westville Damn or Buffumville Damn several times a week to release
energy, he loves hiking and wading in the water. He does like to chase squirrels but luckily they are much faster than him, he is
a little on the slower side, ha ha. He also has gotten along with every dog he has played with from a small pugs to a very large English
Mastiff.

Kona aka King is doing great here in his new home, we are amazed how quickly he has acclimated.
He has already learned several new commands and is a big love bug. He wakes us every morning with big wet kisses and a wiggle butt.
We have taken him on several hikes and we have learned that he enjoys the water although he is more of a wader than a swimmer. We
are working thru his fears, socializing him in many different situations. He has a funny sense of humor and is eager to please us.
His favorite thing is a tummy rub and he demands them constantly. We have had a great first week with Kona and look forward to many
to come.
