Wow-it's hard to believe Diamond's already been with us for two weeks. A bit on the thin side, she's already gained
two pounds. Mealtimes (2 times daily) provide an excellent platform to practice our sit and stay and she's made excellent progress. We
have 2 schools near our home and Diamond loves to go for long walks. She's doing a great job of walking with us for the most part.
There's a bit of evening activity with ball games and she's quite anxious to be a part of all the activity. And she LOVES attention,
anyone that stops to say hello gets a boxer wiggle and sloppy kiss! She's settled in nicely with our parrot as well and
for the most part ignores Spencer. Spencer, on the other hand, does not ignore Diamond. His latest thing is to give commands while
she's eating. "Sit" "Stay" "Wait" are all favorites and if she does not listen the first time his tone becomes more commanding. It's
quite funny to watch; even more so when considering the size difference between them. This little girl has the most wonderful
disposition and puts a smile on our faces every day! |

Diamond is a Beautiful White Female
Boxer that is full of Boxer wiggles and kisses!
Diamond is coming into the program as her current owners living arrangements have changed.
She is a very sweet girl and loves to meet new people by showing off her boxer wiggles and she will give soft kisses. Diamond currently lives with small children (10 month old) and Loves the baby and she also lives with two cats.
Diamond
is housebroken but not crate trained. She has done fine when left for 6 hours alone, but has been known to get into the trash
from time to time. She knows some basic commands, Sit, Paw and will give high five on both hands, but will only do them
with treats. She does need some work with sit/stay, but she’s a very smart girl and eager to please.
Diamond can be very hyper on leash, so she will need some work with leash walking. She is good with other dog and would benefit from a canine companion or play dates a few days a week. Diamond is not currently spayed, so she will be having her spay surgery once she arrives into foster care. So please check back soon for updates once we secure a foster home for this beautiful girl!

Happy 4th of July from Diamond! She had a busy weekend including a refreshing 1st bath outdoors and a cookout with
30 people. She loved the festivities and enjoyed a burger with everyone. We live near the school where our town held our celebration
and we had front row seats to a magnificent firework display right over our back porch. This was the one part of our party that Diamond
did not enjoy-she ran inside and hid in the hallway until the display was over.
She continues to thrive; putting on weight and
making herself right at home. She realizes this is her "forever" home too- barking when the bell is rung, getting her toys from her
toybox, and joyfully greeting us every morning.
She's made quite the home here and even spends quality time with Ben
& Jerry, our resident rats.
This 4th of July was especially memorable since we offically adopted Diamond on July 2nd. We
look forward to spending many holidays to come with her as part of our family!
