Chaos has met many dogs, males and females of different ages.  We are trying to find out who he clicks with, and so far he’s been good with all, but one.  He is unsure more than anything and as he gets older I think his confidence will improve. He has put on some weight and looks great! He loves Taste of the Wild and mashed sweet potato on top! He has a healthy appetite and loves all kinds of fruits and veggies for treats.

Chaos will need a home where someone is home more often than not as he has severe separation anxiety (he is not very destructive but can be mentally distressed...i.e. - like some dogs are in thunder storms). Chaos cannot be crated; he will try and chew his way out of the crate (hurting himself).  We have been gating him in an area when we need to leave him and he’s been okay.   The maximum time he can be left alone right now is 4-5 hours.  He doesn’t jump...is great with people has PERFECT manners.  He is not demanding or pushy.....good on leash and listens well!   Chaos loves to run and play and this boy is just a complete little love. :)

Chaos is settling in at his foster home nicely.  What we have learned  about Chaos over this past week is that he is lovable, very sweet and is  not hyper at all.  He is very playful and LOVES his new Jolly Ball!

Chaos is great on the leash while walking and is the perfect walker!   Chaos has met several dogs and done great with all of them. He has shown  no aggression towards other dogs at all.   We have also discovered that  he is showing signs of severe separation anxiety, and is definitely not  crate trained.  He will hurt himself trying to get out of the crate, so  we have used a gated area and he does fine in the area and has not been destructive.   His previous owner was home most of the day and Chaos also had a canine companion in his previous home. We are working on his  separation anxiety and at this point, we are not sure if he just needs  to settle in a little bit more (as he’s only been with us for a week) or  if he might need a forever home with a canine companion and or with  someone that is home more often than not. Please check back for more updates as we get to know this HANDSOME boy!

Meet Chaos!  Chaos is your typical, sweet, 2.5 year old boxer boy that  needs regular walks and exercise.  Chaos appears to be very well  mannered and respectful when greeting people.  Chaos was living with  another Boxer boy (1.5 years old) for quite some time, and recently the  two have not been getting along and have had to be separated.  Based on  the history from the owner, we believe Chaos just wanted to play with  the other boxer, but the other boxer has no interest in playing at all  with Chaos.  We believe with proper introductions, Chaos will be fine  with other dogs.

Chaos knows his basic commands.  He’s house trained and crate trained.  He lived with children (10 year old and 12 year old) and has been around  young children as well with no problems.

Chaos does seem to possess a high prey drive.  When walked, he  definitely wants to go after the outdoor cats in the neighborhood.   Chaos is used to a fenced in area, so he will need some brushing up

skills on walking and plenty of exercise.    Please check back soon as  we get to know this handsome boy in his foster home.

Chaos is doing great! We went on our first overnight trip and he  was so good!!! We went to a few dog parks and one huge outdoor  playground. I got so choked up watching his confidence grow with every

happy encounter.    He was soooo happy and such a gentleman to  everyone. He is such a good boy.  We are so happy we adopted him, he's a  wonderful fit for our family and we love him.

I have been in my foster home for a month now…and I really like it here.  My foster Mom says I’ve put on about 5 lbs and look great but the vet said yesterday I could still use a few more lbs….I think I look much better!  I used to worry I wasn’t going to get enough to eat so I would eat so fast that everyone was shocked.  I was getting lunch too!  Now I’m slowing down and relaxing a little at mealtimes now that I know there’s plenty to go around.   I had lost a lot of weight but I’m making a comeback!  Everyone seems very happy that you can’t see my bones as much anymore and my Mom says I have more to wiggle now….my Foster Dad says I don’t just do the boxer kidney bean, I do the “cheerio” because I can go right in a circle I get so happy!!!  I feel happier every day.   I admit I do get anxious when I’m left alone and I’ve got good reason to be, so please understand.  I had a stressful time and had a bad fight with my younger brother at the house I always knew (I was really hurt)…and that’s how I ended up here, so I have some trust issues and I feel scared when people leave me.   I need to know I will not be hurt and that people will protect me and someone’s on my side  can you blame me?!

Anyway, I have met quite a few dogs and as soon as I feel safe, all is ok…I do have separation anxiety as a result.  When I am left alone I get very scared and sometimes (I chew my leashes which hang….chewing those seems to help my nerves as I’ve chewed through 4 of them – 2 leashes, one collar and one harness!)  I get very nervous in a crate so I’d prefer to be with someone who is home more than not.  I am SO good when I have a companion and I just want to be loved.  I am relaxed, happy and not to brag, but I keep hearing that I have the best manners people have seen in a long time!   I went on my first big day trip and did really well!  Went to a place called Portsmouth, walked around, sat in a restaurant and had lunch with my Mom, went in the pet store and walked around some more.  It was a long day and I was tired and she said she was very proud of me!  I don’t pull very much on the leash, but I could use a little work with advanced training.  I know my basic commands.   I love to play, go on walks, rides, meet new people, kids….my two favorite things are:  my “zoom groom” brush…(oh boy!), AND my Jolly Ball (red)….I have totally mastered carrying it around – take that jolly ball!  Love it!!!
