Boxey and BJ have adjusted so well you would never know they have not been with us forever. At the end of the day we all go into the living room and the dogs hang out with us and the kids. It’s great. The Kids LOVE them. They come home from school and run to play with their dogs. Boxey and BJ have learned their basic commands and are doing well. With a little more training they will be the perfectly mannered dogs. We leave them alone in the house and they are never destructive. They just wait for us to come home and when we drive up the driveway we see their faces looking at us through the window and then the wiggle butts just get going. They have been a wonderful addition to our family and we are just so happy to have them in our lives.

BJ and Boxey have made themselves right
at home with our family. Our three boys just love them. They keep each other busy playing in the fenced in yard.
I’m not sure if the boys are wearing the dogs out or the dogs are wearing the boys out but everyone sure is tired at the end of the
day. BJ and Boxey have some manners and are eager to learn. They will be going to training in the near future so
they can learn a little more. Right now they know sit, come and down and we have been working on these command with them daily.
They are very smart and doing great. They still need some work on walking on their leashes but they are getting
better every day.

Meet Boxy and B.J! Boxy and BJ are litter mates, they are both 3 years
old and have been together since they were 8 weeks old. They are extremely bonded and we will be looking to place them together.
They are coming into the program as their current owners do not have enough time for them. They have natural ears
and full tails. Boxy and B.J. have not been socialized much with other animals, but do play with another Boxer and
a bulldog that is owned by another family member. They are used to a fenced in yard and are only walked a few times per week,
so they will need work with leash walking. We have been told they can bark at other dogs on leash. They
are typical Boxers, very sweet and very willing to learn. They know their basic commands, but have no consistency with
training. They will need a family that will take them to obedience training to work with them and a family that will provide
them with the necessary exercise that Boxers need. The current owner runs a child day care out of the home, so BJ
and Boxy have grown up around children, from infants up to teens and both dogs love children and are very sweet and gentle around
them.
Neither dogs have ever seen a cat (not even on a walk) so we have no idea how they would be around them but they
do focus on squirrels when she walks them. Both dogs seem to take correction well.
Please check back for updates soon as we get Boxy and BJ settled into their foster home.
