FREDDIE IS ADOPTED! He is ours!!! Uncork the champagne and break out the party hats! We
are so grateful to The Boxer Rescue for bringing so much love and joy to our family all wrapped up in a furry, wiggly, wrinkle-faced
little guy. Freddie is so much a part of our family already. With his presence alone, he's increased the laughter within
our walls and the time we spend outdoors as a family. There is no other dog like a boxer and there is no other way to bring
one into your home and into your heart like adopting from a rescue. This is more than Freddie's second chance, this is where he was
meant to be. Thank you, The Boxer Rescue, for all that you do!!

Freddie is settling right in to his new
home wonderfully. He loves long walks and trots happily on the sidewalk. With the rain this week, we learned that Freddie
is not a fan of wet grass! We've seen his manners improve already and are so proud of him. He waits for his dinner and his treats
like a perfect little gentleman. The capacity of this beautiful animal to show love amazes us every day. He shares kisses,
snuggles and wiggles with anyone. We love him so much. He is a silly boxer boy and keeps finding new ways to circle our
home with a "boxer burn." Since Freddie arrived, we noticed an increase in lights being left on all over the house. After
blaming each other, our family finally found the source - FREDDIE! With one quick zip, zip, zip on his hind paws he can turn on and
off our lights! He is very light on his feet. We are trying to get it on tape and record him, but he is lightning fast.
Stay tuned....

Rosco arrived at his foster home today and really hasn't had much of a transition on his own accord. He was excellent in the car on the way back to our house which was a good 1/2 hour. Brought him into the yard to meet our two resident Boxers and once he got some appropriate sniffs in he was ready for play! We have a 5mo old Boxer boy, so Rosco was ready to figure out their play style and get to it.
He definitely knows sit but needs work on name recognition and recall. He is very smart, curious and quick at learning. He has had lots to soak in and has done exceptionally well. We have chickens that he sniffed out, learned he couldn't get to and moved on. We also have a young resident cat which he was curious about but one swat from her and he knew to lose interest quickly. He knows to go outside thus far but does cry when you first put him in his crate. His previous owner said he was crated a lot. He settled quickly with noise left in the background but just wants to be out with the people and other dogs.
He will need training for common Boxer habits like jumping, and basic manners and
obdience, but he's gentle-natured and can be touched anywhere. He had a bath after some play and was terrific. Not a fan of having
his nails cut but he tolerated it for the 5 minutes it took. We tried leash walking as Rosco has never really been walked and
he pulls and cuts you off, but again, he's a puppy that needs training and it is totally workable. Rosco is just a happy-go-lucky-fun
boy that definitely will need direction. He's eager to learn, food motivated and ready to have fun!
