Peanut has been an absolute joy to have in our home. She is still responding well to treats and has
been going in the down position more consistently along with releasing toys when told. Jumping has been minimal and limited to the
window sill and door when someone approaches. She gets off when asked and we believe this will be corrected in a short time.
We look forward to bringing her to a formal training class. Typically peanut can be found right next to Kona or Colin. She gets so
happy when we get my son out of bed in the morning her whole body is wagging back and forth along with the kisses she is immediately
trying to give him. Everyday is an absolute pleasure.

We are going on almost 1 week with
Peanut in our home and she has been an absolute treat. Peanut has been getting along well with our resident male boxer
Kona who is almost 4 years old. They are now sharing their couch every night, exchanging each others bones, and also sleeping
side by side at night. Peanut is also doing well with our 2.5 year old son and is quite gentle with him, tolerating all the
loud noises and his playfulness as well. Only short walks have been taken the past week due to the extreme cold, but Peanut minimally
pulls with her new easy walk harness. We have been doing daily training with both pups and Peanut responds well with treats.
She has many things to work on for training and we look forward to enrolling her into an obedience class. Peanut name truly fits her.
If it wasn't for her tag on her new collar you would never know she is always standing next to you whether it is preparing
dinner or giving our son a bath. She is also a cuddle bug and is always trying to sneak up to where you are sitting.
Peanut has been
an joy to have in our home!!!
Peanut also lived with another dog (Boston Terrier) up until a few weeks ago and did great with him.
She does do well with other dogs, but has a tendency to get overly excited when meeting and greeting, as she wants to play and some
dogs don’t like her because of her excited energy.
She is house broken and crate trained and loves to go for
walks. She knows a few of her basic commands, but is a jumpy greeter, so her new home must be willing to attend a basic
obedience class with Peanut for a refresher class and for bonding with the family. Peanut would do well in a home with
a canine companion and a family that is willing to give her the daily exercise a Boxer needs. She is able to jump a 4ft fence,
so any fenced in yard for Peanut will need to be 6 Ft.
Peanut has never been introduced to a cat, so we have no
idea how she would be, but we are told that when she sees small critters outside, she wants to go after them, so we will not be placing
her in a home with cats or small critters.
Check back soon as we secure a foster home for this pretty lady!
