Meet Lola, This beautiful girl is 8 years old and coming into the program because her current home no longer has the time to give her.  Lola is as sweet as they come, but don't let her age fool you!  she has a lot of energy that needs to be burned off.   Lola is a busy body and loves to keep going, she is often referred to as the  "energizer bunny", so her new home will need to provide her with the mental an physical exercise a Boxer needs.   We are told that Lola has been destructive if left out of the crate and if given the chance, she will counter surf.  Lola has only attended a puppy class, which was years ago, so her new home will need to take a refresher course with her, for fun and bonding.   She will get very excited when she meets new people and will jump, so her new home will need to work with her on calmer greetings.   She is used to a fenced in yard, so we will be looking for a home with a fenced in yard as well as an active home, so that Lola can get the walks and mental stimulation she needs.  She has not been walked in a few years, so her new home will need to take it slow with her and help her acclimate to her new surroundings.   She is currently being crated  4-5 days a week for 8-9 hours, so she would do best with a family that is home more often than not so she can get the attention she needs.   Lola is currently living with an 11 year old male Boxer and does wonderful with him.  She has never met a female as her current owners do not feel she would be okay with them.   She is living with young children, but due to her high energy and jumpiness, we will not be placing her in a home with younger children.  She has never met a cat, so no cats for this girl!

Lola and her brother were in a car accident years ago, both were okay, but Lola ruptured her left ear drum.  The vet told her owner she is fully recovered, but Lola is still sensitive  when touched near the ear and will cry from time to time.
